I devoted a column to Rise Models and to Crazy Horse Savannah, which specialize in photo shoot productions. And Ordway obviously had a talented group of professional partners for the show. The November elections are looming, and there are many plausible scenarios for the Savannah mayoral race. Since it's unlikely any of the five top candidates could get half the votes on the first ballot, the race will almost certainly head to a runoff. That means a candidate who gets just a quarter of the vote in the general election could make the top two. Downtown folks can hear the candidates at an upcoming forum sponsored by Historic Savannah Foundation and the Downtown Neighborhood Association. The event will be moderated by HSF president and CEO Daniel Carey and DNA president Hank Reed. Candidates Floyd Adams, Ellis Cook, Jeff Felser, Edna Jackson and Regina Thomas are slated to attend. Given downtown's low and declining population, the neighborhood has relatively little electoral power. But in a tight election with so many candidates, those downtown votes could be pivotal.
